Video surveillance

The Danish Immigration Service processes personal data in connection with video surveillance at our Citizen Service.

Purpose and legal basis

The purpose of processing your personal data, in connection with your visit at our Citizen Service, is for the safety of employees and citizens and for investigations of coincidences of skirmishes and conflicts, or by request of the police due to evidentiary causes.

The legal basis can be found in article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation.

Categories of data

The Danish Immigration Service processes general personal data about the individuals being recorded by the video surveillance.

The only personal data we collect will be video surveillance of you. This means pictures of you in person.

Recipients or categories of recipients

The only possible recipient of your personal data is the police.

Storage of your data

Your personal data (video footage) will be stored for 30 days. The Danish Immigration Service will erase the data on its’ own initiative subsequently. You can however request to have your data erased before then, as you can invoke your other rights as a data subject.
