This thematic report examines the situation of certain groups in Syria since the fall of Assad’s government in December 2024.
The report covers the situation of individuals opposing or perceived to be opposing the current interim authorities; persons with real or perceived affiliation with the former government; women; and ethno-religious groups, including Alawites, Druze, Kurds, Christians (including Jehovah’s Witnesses). The situation of atheists and Palestinians from Syria is also included.
