This brief report focuses on the following issues regarding military service in Syria:
- Procedure for recruitment of conscripts and reservists;
- Conscripts’ duties during the service; and
- Military service for naturalised Ajanib Kurds.
The report is an update of some of the issues addressed in the DIS report: Syria, Military service, May 2020, as regards the procedure for recruitment and conscripts’ duties during the service.
