Centre for Documentation and Counter Extremism
Centre for Documentation and Counter Extremism CDE contributes to social cohesion, security and compliance with international obligations.
We do so mainly by:
- Obtaining Country of Origin Information (COI) and current events in order to assist the immigration authorities.
- Countering extremism by mapping trends in extremist environments and offering counselling and training services.
- Identifying individuals and organisations who meet the conditions for being admitted to two public sanction lists.

Prevention and Counselling
The unit supports the Danish municipalities and other public and private entities in the prevention of extremism.
Intelligence and Analysis
The unit has the mandate to investigate whether foreign individuals and organizations meet the conditions for being admitted to two sanction lists.
Country of Origin Information
The purpose of this unit is to assist the immigration authorities by collecting country of origin information through fact-finding missions and desk studies.
